Spencer IA, (KICD) — Due to the flood damage that the Clay County administration building received, Clay County department heads have been holding their meetings at 8:30 every morning outside.

Chair- Elect Supervisor Allen Batschelet spoke with KICD about a bridge closure on Hwy. 18.

Batschelet says the county made a request to the National Guard for more EMT’s.

Batschelet also mention population projections several months in years out from the flood.

Batschelet say the says the county is concerned about people in affected areas who aren’t within city limits, especially those who live along the river.
