Spencer, IA (KICD) — Spencer 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be attending school at alternative sites this year. Superintendent Terry Hemann made the announcement on KICD at noon.

Hemann says the accommodations can be made without the need for portable classrooms.

Hemann believes damaged HVAC and electrical systems at Johnson Elementary can be repaired before the start of school August 23rd. He says Lincoln Elementary might be out of service for the entire year.
