Estherville IA, (KICD)- On July 3rd the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 4:30 pm of a 3-vehicle traffic accident in the 3500 block of 170th St.
After further investigation on scene, the Sheriff’s office determined that an eastbound sedan driven by 18-year-old Donte Pietsch of Estherville sideswiped and crossed the path of a westbound Dodge Caravan owned by Mutual Telephone Company of Sioux CenterĀ driven by 20-year-old Conor Rezabek of Spencer.
Following the collision, the caravan left the roadway and stopped in the north ditch of 170th St. The sedan wound up in the path and made an impact with the front of a second westbound vehicle driven by 49 Kari Batman of Milford.
Both Pietsch and Batman vehicles would leave the roadway and come to sit in the north ditch.
All three of the drivers were treated at the scene for their injuries and transferred to Avera Holy Family Hospital. The Estherville Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Estherville Police Department, Estherville Fire Department and Emmet Emergency Management and Emmet County Public Health.
