Sheldon, IA (KICD)– The Sheldon City Council continued an ongoing conversation on Wednesday to find a way to get a piece of land near the site of the former Bethel Lutheran Church developed.
Councilman Brad Hindt shared some strong feelings that it was time to turn the property over to the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corportation in attempt to get it back on the tax rolls.
Councilman Wayne Barahona suggested an alternate idea that would involve the city waiting just a bit longer before turning the land over to SCDC.
Following a short discussion, the council opted to follow Council Hindt’s suggestion and give the land to what he describes as the developers of city land to find a project for the property.
