Milford, IA (KICD) — 1st Lutheran Church in Milford is celebrating a milestone anniversary of the drive-in worship services that began way back in 1949.
Pastor Perry Aalgaard is currently the lead Pastor.
1st Lutheran already raised 66 thousand dollars for upgrades at the drive-in worship grounds this summer. Parishioner John Adams Sr. says they’re now trying to raise an additional 75 thousand dollars for community flood relief during a drive-in concert this Sunday.
Drive-in worship has had three different locations in the past three quarters of a century: Lakeland Drive-In, the Milford gravel pit, and now adjacent to First Lutheran on highway 86. 75 Years of Drive-In Worship
