Spencer IA, (Northwest Iowa Now)— On August 12th there will be more reasons than normal to look at the sky due the Perseid Meteor Shower. The Backyard Astronomer Gary Boyle spoke with Northwest Iowa Now about what people can see during the meteor shower.
Boyle says it’s a great time to watch meteors due to the lack of moonlight interference.
Boyle explains that the peak of the shower hasn’t hit yet but you can still watch for meteors.
Boyle says the 12 his 13th will be the best for viewing conditions, however he recommends not waiting until the last two days in case of bad weather conditions.
