Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man is going to prison on a robbery conviction from earlier this year.
24-year-old Eh Lwe pled guilty in February to holding up a local convenience store on New Year’s Day and fleeing before police could arrive.
Lwe was originally charged with first degree robbery, but that was knocked down to second degree as part of a plea deal.
He was given up to ten years behind bars on Monday and will be required to serve at least six years before being eligible for parole. Online court records show this sentence will run concurrent with a two-year sentence from a separate child endangerment case.
