Graettinger IA (Northwest Iowa Now) – For the last 127 years Graettinger has celebrated Labor Day, earning it the title of Iowa’s oldest Labor Day celebration.

Co chairman for the Labor Day celebration Phillip Schmidt spoke with Northwest Iowa Now about how the tradition got started.

Schmidt talks about some of the popular events during the celebration.

 

Schmidt says that Sunday is kids’ day during the Labor Day celebration.
