Spencer IA (Northwest Iowa Now)—At the Spencer Hospital Board of Trustees meeting, the board chose to approve a wireless infrastructure upgrade to the hospital.

Vice President of Information Technology and Security for Spencer Hospital Ed Meyer, spoke with Northwest Iowa Now about some of the benefits of the wireless upgrade.

Meyer says that he expects the upgrade to be complete by the end of the calendar year.

The last major upgrade was in 2011 however most of the infrastructure has been in place since 2004
