Spirit Lake, IA ((Northwest Iowa Now) — The Spirit Lake city council decided to sell an unused parcel to a city resident who thinks he can develop some housing on it. City Administrator Greg Owen says they were delighted at the unsolicited offer.

Owen says the city did not make development part of the deal but will be happy if it comes to fruition.

 

The property is in the housing development just West of the Spirit Lake high school.
