Pocahontas, IA (KICD)– A Humbolt man is facing several charges stemming from an investigation into a stolen vehicle in Pocahontas.
Law enforcement officials began looking into a vehicle parked at a Pocahontas convenience store on Saturday morning after determining it matched the description of a vehicle having recently been reported stolen.
That led to 40-year-old Douglas Lynch being taken into custody and charged wtih operation without owner’s consent, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia along with driving while suspended.
Lynch was taken to the Pocahontas County Jail to await his initial court appearance. Police say an investigation remains open pertaining to a possible connection to multiple burglaries in the area with additional charges possible.
