Spencer, IA (KICD)– Several area speech students will be making an appearance at the All-State Individual Speech competition following regional state contests last weekend.

Chosen to perform for Spencer are: Tateum Casey for Solo Musical Theatre, Julia Gastelum and Abbey Crew for Storytelling, Sophie Munson in Spontaneous Speaking, Noah Palmer in Improv Acting, Olivia Ruden for Prose. Ruden was also selected as a non-performing entry for Solo Musical Theatre.

Okoboji students moving on are Ellie Albertoni for Spontaneous Speaking, Izzy Gehrke in Solo Musical Theatre, Aubry Knudtson for After Dinner Speaking, Anna Petersen for Reviewing and Hailey Schneider in Radio News Announcing.

Estherville Lincoln Central has one performer getting the nod: Saige Hengeveld for Solo Musical Theatre.

Jahlyn Dejong will represent Sibley-Ocheyedan in Poetry.

Anna Frangenburg will go for Spirit Lake in After Dinner Speaking along with Abi Slater for Reviewing.

Storm Lake has two representatives performing: Beimnet Amanuel for Original Oratory and Hersh Singh for Prose and Alta-Aurelia has three: Joelle Arnts and Ava Graham for Prose and Trista Erlandson for After Dinner Speaking.

The All-State Individual Speech Festival will be March 27th on the University of Northern Iowa campus.
