Des Moines, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Governor Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff today (Monday.) in honor of fallen navy Fireman 1st Class Evertt C. Titterington of Milford.
As we previously have reported Titterington died aboard the USS Oklahoma during the Pearl Harbor attack and was buried with other unidentified shipmates.
His remains were recently verified using DNA technology and he is being reburied at a National Cemetery in Riverside, California
