Sioux City, IA (KICD)– A Cherokee woman has pled guilty to a federal drug charge.

50-year-old Christina Gianopoulos-Rohrer entered the plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine on Wednesday admitting she was involved in a scheme to spread the drug around the area including more than a pound that was seized by police during a Woodbury County traffic stop in late 2021.

Gianopoulos-Rohrer will be sentenced at a later date and faces the possibility of life prison and a ten million dollar fine.
