Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Emmet County Sheriff’s Department has arrested two men for stealing tools after a tip from the Spencer Police Department.
Sheriff Mike Martens says tools that 25-year-old Philip Manz from Fairmont and 48-year-old Curtis Lappegard of Armstrong tried to sell to a Spencer resident were stolen from a farm building in Eastern Emmet County.
The search warrant that uncovered the tools also revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Both men have been charged with 3rd degree burglary and drug paraphernalia.
Manz has been additionally charged with possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana, and possession of hemp for inhalation.
