New Ulm, MN (KICD)– The New Ulm school board is in negotiations with a Twin Cities school administrator to be their new Superintendent meaning a school leader for Southwest Minnesota will be staying where he is.
All seven members picked Sean Koster from the Beacon Academy charter school in Minneapolis as their first choice after final interviews earlier this week. Koster was also the top pick of school board members and community groups in the first round of interviews last month.
Jackson County Central Superintendent Barry Schmidt and Osakis Superintendent Randall Bergquist were the other finalists.
