Iowa Central Community College has a new $10 million Learning Center in Storm Lake, and Dr. Jesse Ulrich, President of Iowa Central Community College says Northwest Iowans will have more options for education and future employment.
The new career academy will also provide real life workforce training for high school students during the day and at night it will be a place for adult literacy programs and adult education classes.
Governor Kim Reynolds was on hand at the ribbon cutting in Storm Lake Thursday September 26th, and spoke with NorthwestIowaNow.com about how this will help the state of Iowa workforce needs.
Iowa Central Community College has completed over $ 40 million of infrastructure projects throughout their campuses over the last 3 years, and has around 1200 employees, 6200 students taking classes for credit, 15,000 on the workforce training side.
