Washington DC (Northwest Iowa Now) — A Dickens man has been charged by the US Attorney for the District of Colombia in connection with the January 6th riot.

Members of the Metropolitan Police Department allege 50-year-old Earl Jordan had verbal and physical altercations with them at the capital that day, including grabbing one of the officers by the throat. Later in the day, investigators say, Jordan could be observed on tape picking up a piece of metal fencing and hurling it toward the door where officers were attempting to secure the building.

Jordan was taken into custody in Spencer. His brother – Christopher Jordan – who lives in Utah has also been arrested.  They are charged with assaulting, revisiting, and impeding law enforcement, and obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder.
