Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Two Spencer School buildings were severely damaged in the June flood. Johnson Elementary was rushed back into service for the start of school in August, while Lincoln remains a work in progress.
Superintendent Terry Hemann says both buildings will be in better shape than they were before the disaster.
Students and staff at Johnson should notice a much, more comfortable environment this year
The old classrooms at Lincoln Elementary will be upgraded to match the new classrooms there.
Lincoln should be ready for occupancy next school year.
