Estherville IA, (Northwestiowanow.com) Emmet County Iowa is now under a wind turbine moratorium.

Emmet County Supervisor Chair Todd Glasnapp spoke with Northwest Iowa Now to explain the board’s Decision to place the county under a moratorium.

Glasnapp says an area of concern among citizens was how close wind turbines could possibly be placed to two other structures.

The board hopes to review the current ordinance and possibly make changes before the moratorium is up and spoken with other countries about what they’re doing.

The current deadline of the moratorium is January 31st.
