Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) –The Estherville City Council voted to approve the update to the automated solid waste collection.

City Administrator Penny Clayton says that the upgrade will modernize the system and be cleaner.

Clayton tells Northwestiowanow.com that the city sent staff to the city of Spencer for a ride along and to learn more about a similar program.

 

 

The city of Estherville also approved the acquisition of a garbage truck for 400,00 dollars and roll out containers for 165,00 dollars.
