Estherville, IA (KICD)– Three people are facing drug charges in Estherville following an investigation that started with a theft accusation.

The Estherville Police Department originally recieved a report of stolen Air Pods last weekend but when officers executed a search warrant at an address believed to be involved, illegal drugs were reportedly found which led to a second warrant being obtained.

The additional search allegedly led to the discovery of a marijuana growing operation, THC wax and vape cartridges and other drug paraphernalia.

As a result, 21-year-old Joshua Aguilar and 20-year-old Ashley Allen were both charged with possess of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of failing to affix a tax stamp. Police also charged 18-year-old Jonathon Palacios with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco while under the age of 21.

All three individuals were later released after posting bond.
