Spirit Lake, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — Auditor’s offices across Iowa say they have been deluged with early voters since last Wednesday – the first day ballots could be cast.

Moyer believes early voting is growing in popularity because of the convenience, but there are also fewer days this election cycle.

Additional space was arranged for voting at the Dickinson County Courthouse this year in anticipation of a big, early turnout.

And 271 patrons of the Okoboji school district voted at a pop-up polling site on Monday.
In Clay County over 170 individuals voted in the early days and over 800 absentee ballots were mailed out.
