Jackson, MN (Northwestiowanow.com) — A fixture in downtown Jackson, Minnesota was destroyed by fire early Friday morning. After sixteen years at AGCO, Bridget Kolander-Gilbert bought the bar and grill at 105 Sherman Street without any experience and has operated it for the past nineteen years.
Gilbert tells Northwestiowanow.com she didn’t close during Covid and won’t let the fire keep her down either.
The fire at Bridget’s Bucksnort’s Brew Ha-Ha was discovered around 3am. Fire departments from Lakefield, Alpha, Dunnell, Sherburn, and Fairmont were called to assist and prevented it from spreading to any surrounding structures.
The Minnesota Fire Marshall’s office arrived this morning to investigate. The kitchen at the establishment in in the door and to the right, the blaze appears to have started in the door and to the left.
