Spencer, IA (KICD)– The U.S. Department of Labor has has successfully recovered more than 20 thousand dollars in back wages owed to a dozen workers at a Spencer fast food facility.

Wage and Hour Division investigators recorved $22,744 representing more than 11 thousand in back wages and an equal amount in liquidated damages for workers at the Spencer Taco Bell.

The investigation determined the restaurant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act minimum wage provisions when the site’s general manger deducted time from time cards before submitting the hours to the corporate office for processing.
