Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Two individuals have been charged with drug crimes in Estherville.
Authorities from Estherville and Emmet County stopped a vehicle traveling through town on November 12th. The driver – 54 year old Dannie Christian of Ceylon, Minnesota – was cited for having no driver’s license and released. The passenger was 45 year old Sara Robertson of Estherville.
K-9 officer Pepper alerted officers to the possible presence of drugs in the vehicle, so it was impounded pending approval of a search warrant.
Estherville Police Chief Brent Shattoo told us over the weekend the vehicle has been searched, and Christian has now been charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possession of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of the drug tax stamp law. Robertson has been charged with simple possession of meth, pot, and drug paraphernalia.
