Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – After dealing with a grueling schedule and a very young team in 2023-2024, the Spencer Girls Basketball team will have to do more of the same this season with only one Senior back from last year’s group and a Lakes Conference path that is as strong as ever.

That is Tigers’ coach Matt Stevenson. A young team last year has gotten a year older, but the team will still be driven by a lot of Juniors and Sophomores.

The loan Senior, Braylee Haldin, says the team Chemistry has been good in the first few weeks of work.

Junior Maddy McWhirter echoed that improving the feeling around the group has been a focus in the young season.

The Spencer season starts with a stretch of non-conference games against some tough opponents, including East of Sioux City and an always challenging road trip to Fort Dodge.
