Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — According to a press release the Estherville Lincoln central (ELC) has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Aiddy Phomvisay effective February 28th, 2025, or when an interim Superintendent is appointed.

Phomvisay will be on leave for personal reasons until his resignation takes effect. Under board policy, ELC’s High School Principal Brad Leonard will assume the role of acting Superintendent during this time.

ELC Board president Jeff Soper says “The Estherville the Lincoln Central School board is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining stability and success of our district during this time.”

The search has been initiated by the board for an interim Superintendent and expects to have a full replacement by July 1st, 2025.
