The 69-million-dollar bond issue for a new elementary and addition onto the high school for the Okoboji district was approved by district voters Tuesday.
While construction of a new elementary school in Emmetsburg got a slight majority, it needed a 60 percent super majority for passage. There were 1,247 yes votes, and 1,211 no.
