Walleye Season Closes Feb. 15th On Some Area Lakes

The walleye fishing season on Spirit, East and West Okoboji lakes is open through Feb. 14th. It will close after that date and reopens on May 3rd. These are the only Iowa lakes that have a closed season for walleye.

Be Aware of Scam Callers

According to the Milford Police Department Facebook page the department took a call today (Tues) from a local business and the caller reported to be from Milford Municipal Utilities (MMU), the caller claimed that they were going to be disconnecting utilities if payment was not made.

Brothers Heroism Leads to Recognition
