Alta, Ia (KICD) – In Cross Country this weekend, the Twin Lakes Conference ran their Championship meet.

For the Girls race, Alta-Aurelia’s Nora Peterson was named Conference Champion with a time of 19:03.27. West Bend-Mallard’s Tyra Schupbach placed 3rd with a time of 19:27.98 and Alta-Aurelia’s Taylor Robertson was 5th with a time of 20:48.78. Other All-Conference KICD area runners include Sioux Central’s Marley Madsen 6th, Alta-Aurelia’s Breyer Anderson 7th, Alta-Aurelia’s Hayden Berkland 9th, and Pocahontas Area’s Kristin Axman 10th.

Alta-Aurelia won the Girls Conference Championship with 40 points, Sioux Central was 2nd with 65, Emmetsburg 5th, and Pocahontas Area 6th.

In the Boys Race, East Sac County’s Isaiah Aragon placed 1st with a time of 16:53.7. Sioux Central’s Brayden Kramber would finish 4th with a time of 17:47.81 and Alta-Aurelia’s Jacob Launderville was 5th with a time of 17:54.86. Other All-Conference KICD area runners were Sioux Central’s Lucos Wernimont 6th.

East Sac County would win the Conference Title with 33 points. Sioux Central was 2nd with 47, Alta-Aurelia 6th, and Newell-Fonda 7th.
