Plymouth County, IA (KICD) — An eleven year old child riding a dirt bike on a Plymouth county was struck and killed by a semi hauling grain over the weekend.

The initial report from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s department says the semi was Eastbound on C-38, and the Southbound bike entered his path from private property. The semi driver was uninjured. The Iowa State Patrol, Akron Fire and Ambulance, and MercyOne Air Med assisted at the scene. The accident occurred around 10:40 Saturday morning.
