Spencer, Ia (KICD) – In Girls golf, Class 1A and 2A had their first round of regionals. 2A Region 3A was at Five Island Golf Course, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura won with 400 strokes, Estherville Lincoln Central came in 2nd with 415, Okoboji and Emmetsburg tied for 4th with 425.

2A Region 1B was at the Holstein Country Club, Pocahontas Area won with 380 strokes and Sioux Central tied with East Sac County for 5th with 415.

Class 2A Region 1A was at Meadow Acres Golf Course, where Central Lyon won with 366 and Sibley-Ocheyedan did not place.

Class 1A Region 2B was at the Primghar Golf Course, Newell-Fonda won with 372, South O’Brien placed 2nd with 417, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was 3rd with 418, Harris-Lake Park placed 5th with 449, GTRA and West Bend-Mallard did not place.
