Spencer, IA (KICD) — Last year’s Runner-Up to the Clay County Fair Queen will now get her chance to wear the crown as fair queen this year.

Kamdyn Van Gelder of Spencer was one of four candidates competing for the crown last evening. She tells KICD News being the fair queen is a dream come true:

Van Gelder will be busy representing the fair throughout the summer – and especially during the 9 days of the fair. She’s already looking forward to her duties:
