Sioux Rapids, Ia (KICD) – The KICD area Spring Sports Previews continue with the Sioux Central Boys Track and Field team. Rebels coach Jeff Tiefenthaler spoke with KICD about the upcoming season, feeling pretty confident in what Sioux Central returns.

The Rebels have been able to get on a track in the early going for practice, something not a lot of Northwest Iowa schools can say, but coach Tiefenthaler says it’s still to cold out for the Sioux Central coaching staff to be okay with hard springts this early in the season.

There are some strong teams in the Twin Lakes Conference. Coach Tiefenthaler mentioned the Rebels Distance crew will help them over the course of the year against Conference foes.

Some of the key meets this season for Sioux Central will be those against other 2A schools, preparing the Rebels for the State Qualifying meet and beyond.

Sioux Central will be in action at the Spirit Lake Co-Ed Invitiational on April 11th for their next competition.
