Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Girls Golf team is next on the KICD area spring sports previews. This year the Tigers bring back a lot of production from a succesfull 2022 campaign. Coach Nathan Wendt is looking forward to seeing which young players step up this season.

Coach Wendt has been happy with what he has seen in the early season as far as team chemistry and leadership goes with the Tiger Girls.

Wendt says the biggest challenge for the Tigers this season in Conference play is going to be Spirit Lake, but a lot of the best golfers from a season ago in the Lakes return.

When it comes to the path to state, Spirit Lake also stands in the way along with a few other Northwest Iowa schools.

The Spencer Girls Golfers are back in action on Tuesday April 11th at Spirit Lake.
