Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Tiger Girls Wrestling Team finished 13th at the State Meet last season and will be hoping for some improvement in year 2 of sanctioned wrestling.

That is Kaylee Nachtigal who just missed the podium a last winter at the State Meet. Coach Dave Storm would like to see more girls in to the State Meet this season.

Early on, the response in practice has been good according to last season’s 7th place wrestler at 135 Shaylee Sutherland.

Coach Storm says the intensity in practice has shown.

Returning State Champion Olivia Huckfelt has been pleased with the team’s energy in the wrestling room.

The Tigers have already competed at a number of events, we will have their next dual for you on News Radio 102.5 and AM 1240 KICD Thursday night when the Tigers take on Okoboji/HMS and GTRA in Milford.
