Cherokee, IA (KICD) — Fourty-five Cherokee school employees say they’re interested in carrying weapons in the school under a policy recently approved by the school board. School board president Jody Thomas tells KICD’s Nikki Thunder the school board has approved training for as many of those individuals as want to take it.

The training will be at Peterson Firearms, the indoor gun range in Fostoria, this summer.
