The Lakes Conference hosted their Indoor Conference Meet on Tuesday afternoon. Here are top 3 finishers for the Spencer Boys and Girls.

Tate VonEhwegen finished in a tie for 2nd with Spirit Lake’s Caden Lundt and Estherville Lincoln Central’s Troy Edwards at 5-10 in the High Jump.

In the Girls High Jump, Addison Stuckey placed 3rd with a height of 4-10.

Jack Berends was 3rd in the boys Long Jump with a distance of 19-5.

Spencer’s Shuttle Hurdle Relay team of Johnson, Hinkeldey, Timmer, and Pitts won with a time of 35.83.

The Spencer Girls Distance Medley Relay team of Morey, Haldin, Krieg, and Vail was 3rd with a time of 4:41.87.

The Spencer Boys Distance Medley Relay team of Krogman, Munson, Berends, and Carillo placed 1st with a time of 3:44.67. The usual structure for the Distance Medley Relay in High School is 200 200 400 800, but when running indoors, that order is reversed, and the 200 runners finish. Spencer’s Jack Berends was the last leg of their winning relay and he talked about chasing down the competition.

Sydnee Hopkins finished 3rd for the Tigers in the Girls 60m Hurdles with a time of 10.45.

Weston Johnson would place 3rd in the Boys 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.7.

Miles Robbins won the Boys 60m Dash with a time of 7.24. Robbins is frustrated with his starts in the first two meets but is optomistic he will be able to clean it up over the course of this season.

The Spencer Girls 4x200m Relay team of Vail, Hopkins, Buum, and Krieg was 3rd with a time of 1:53.93.

The Boys 4x200m Relay team of Robbins, Pitts, Berends, and Carlson was 2nd with a time of 1:35.74.

Van Munson would place 2nd in the Boys 800 with a time of 2:09.52.

The Spencer Boys 4x400m Relay team of Carlson, Krogman, Pitts, and Anderson was 2nd with a time of 3:43.46.

Spencer Girls Coach Sam Brigham was happy with what she saw from the young runners.

The Spencer Boys showed off their depth at this meet, which Coach Wilson Hookfin believes will enhance competition within the team.
