Paullina, Ia (KICD) – The War Eagle Conference ran their Cross Country Championship on Saturday.

For the Girls race, Mary Schriever of George-Little Rock was the Conference Champion with a time of 21:25.68. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Alexis Croatt would make the All-Conference team with a 10th place finish.

Hinton won the team title with 24 points while Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn took 3rd.

In the Boys race, MMCRU’s Kaden Galles took home the Conference Championship with a time of 18:02.34. His teammate Lucas Braun was 2nd with 18:38.05, Harris-Lake Park’s Landon Greve placed 4th with a time of 19:00.19, and South O’Brien’s Ben Woodall took 5th with a time of 19:04.63. Other KICD area All-Conference Finishers were Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn’s Damian Dodge 7th, Ryan Grotluschen 8th, and Aiden Bush 10th.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn would win the Boys team title with 53 points. MMCRU placed 4th and South O’Brien 6th.
