Des Moines, IA (KICD) — The Iowa Transportation Commission has approved a five-year plan for road repair and construction.
Systems Planner Stuart Anderson says twelve projects were cut in 2023 because of inflation, but prices have moderated since then.
Northwest Iowa DOT Engineer Darwin Bishop tells KICD News several bridge replacements, repaving a segment of highway 71 through Estherville, and shoulder work on highway 4 from Pocahontas to Mallard are included in the new five year plan.
