Sheldon, IA (Radio Iowa)– After more than thirty years of waiting, the City of Sheldon was able to get connected to the Lewis and Clark System last week.

Lewis and Clark Executive Director Troy Larson says Sheldon has become the 18th community to connect to the water system, nearly 24 years since the project was authorized by Congress.

The communities of Rock Rapids, Sioux Center and Hull has all been connected to the system one by one over the last five years. Sibley is expected to be the final city to join the line in 2025.
