Ida Grove, Ia (KICD) – A few area schools attended the OABCIG Bob Saunders Cross Country Classic.

In the girl’s race, Alta-Aurelia’s Nora Peterson took 1st with a time of 19:23.55 and her teammate Taylor Robertson was 5th with 21:00.32. Sioux Central’s Linnea Bloom was 6th, followed by her teammate Marley Madsen. Alta-Aurelia’s Breyer Anderson was 9th and Pocahontas Area’s Kristin Axman took 10th. Alta-Aurelia would win the Girls race with 64 points, Sioux Central took 2nd with 65, and Pocahontas Area was 6th with 145.

In the Boys race, East Sac County’s Isaiah Aragon was 1st with a time of 16:45.91, Alta-Aurelia’s Jacob Launderville was 6th, Sioux Central’s Brayden Kramber 7th, and his teammates Leighton Sippel was 8th and Lucos Wernimont 10th. East Sac County won the meet with 30 points, Sioux central was 3rd with 63, and Alta-Aurelia placed 7th.
