Armstrong, IA (KICD) — A traffic stop in Armstrong Saturday night lead to the arrest of five individuals.

Sheriff Mike Martens says the deputy found drugs, paraphernalia, and two firearms in the pickup after pulling it over because a trailer it was pulling had no tail lights.

The driver – 24 year old Michael Guitierrez – and 27 year old Luis Fernando Jimenez Barajas – both of Storm Lake – were charged with 2nd offense possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm as a felon, and being a person ineligible to carry a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Guiterrez was additionally charged with driving without a license.

20 year old Cristal Jimenez-Barajas of Storm Lake, and 23 year old Brandon Guiterrez and 22 year old Alexandro Fariasdiego of California were all charged with 1st offense possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and being a person ineligible to carry a firearm.
