Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)– The Arnolds Park City Council is working through some options to improve safety on a section of road on the south side of the community.
The area specifically in question, 202nd Street at Kuchel Trail, on the south side of Emerald Hills Golf Course is a shared road with the City of Milford. City Clerk Linda Nase told the council she has been in contact with leaders there to determine what it would take to get a stop sign placed at the intersection.
Councilman Mitch Watters, who lives in the area, says he is not in favor of reducing the speed limit.
Councilman Matt Richter came up with a possible solution he would like to try that he hopes will satisfy both sides.
Richter is going to take this idea to the Milford City Council on Monday. If they approve, the matter will go through a public hearing in Arnolds Park in April.
