Arnolds Park, IA (KICD) — Besides a roadbed without potholes, the biggest change after the rebuild of highway 71 in the Iowa Lakes will be two additional stop lights in Arnolds Park. Chief Engineer Dakin Schultz says four additional signals were requested, with Linden Drive (at the Boonedock’s) and Lake Street (Arnolds Park Amusement Park) getting approved.
Schultz says there will now also be a dedicated turn lane at Arnolds Park’s furthest South stop light at the Taco House Road.
Roadwork necessitating lane closures will begin this week if the weather permits. The DOT promises the latest traffic information on their website, or by text and email if you request.
