Milford, IA (KICD)– An arrest has been made after a driver allegedly led police on a multi-county pursuit Monday evening.
Authorities say the chase began shortly after eight o’clock east of Milford when the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a reckless driver on County Road N-14 with the vehicle being spotted a short time later reportedly traveling west on County Road A-34 at more than 100 miles per hour.
The pursuit continued into Clay County eventually ending just east of Spencer near the intersection of Highway 18 and 230th Avenue.
As a result, 22-year-old Ashford Williamson VI was charged with eluding, excessive speed, failure to obey a stop sign and driving without headlights.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Milford and Spencer Police Departments and the Iowa State Patrol.
