Perry, IA (KICD)– Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate following a reported shooting Thursday morning in the Central Iowa community of Perry.

Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante told the media during a press conference the initial alert was received shortly before 7:40 prior to the start of classes.

Sheriff Infante says an officer was on scene within seven minutes of the initial call. Additional information is expected to be released this afternoon.
