Spencer opened up their season on Tuesday at Alta-Aurelia. After both teams put up a run in the 1st, Spencer would score 6 unanswered with 3 in the 2nd and another 3 in the 4th innings. The Warriors would push across a run in the 5th, and then both teams would score 2 in the 6th. Spencer would tack on an insurance run in the 7th to make the final score 10-4. Spencer starts the season 1-0 while Alta-Aurelia falls to 2-1.
GTRA matched up with North Iowa in Armstrong on Tuesday. North Iowa would score first, posting a 5 run 2nd inning. The Titans would try chipping away in the 3rd, scoring a run of their own, but the Bison blew the game open in the bottom of the 4th, scoring 6 runs. GTRA would try to muster a comeback, scoring 4 runs in the 5th and another in the 6th, but North Iowa kept them at an arms distance with another run in the 5th and cme away with the 12-6 win. North Iowa is now 1-0 on the year while GTRA falls to 0-2.
Estherville Lincoln Central topped Harris-Lake Park 7-4. The Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 lead after scoring runs in the 1st and 2nd innings, but a big 4 run inning gave ELC the lead in the 3rd. Harris-Lake Park would tie the game back up in the top of the 4th by driving in a run, but Estherville Lincoln Central would put up another crooked number in the 5th, scoring 3 runs and giving them the lead they needed to finish the game.
