Palmer, IA (KICD)– Charges have been filed after a domestic disturbance call near Palmer earlier this month turned into a brief standoff with police.
The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office was initially called to 62 thousand mile of 280th Avenue early on August 1st to a report of man making threats against another person.
Once on scene the alleged victim told officers Colton Clark had threatened violence while displaying a handgun and had barricaded himself inside the home possible in possession of a high power rifle. Clark was convinced to surrender a short time later and was charged with domestic assault while displaying a weapon, first degree harassment and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
